Thanks for redrawing the centaur. I'm not at that level yet (I hope to draw like that after much practice), you're pretty awesome. That was one of the coolest artistic renditions of a centaur I've seen (typically they're done in the Classical style in the Greek and Roman exhibits at art museums) it was fascinating to see a modern twist done so well. You'd be great at drawing Great Gatsby stuff, the new movie's scheduled to release in theaters soon. Thanks again for your generosity!<p>You’re welcome! That was a pretty cool illustration of a centaur. Do you think you could make another cool illustration like that (but different) or explain how you illustrated it?<p>Hi! Thanks! For that I used acrylic ink on watercolour paper. I sketch a basic outline and then lay on wash after wash of black ink, blocking in shapes and shadows first and getting progressively darker and more detailed as I go. I wait for one wash to dry before layering on another; anyway acrylic ink dries so fast you hardly have to wait at all.</p> <p><img alt="image" src="http://media.tumblr.com/f8c977fdd82fb6cfd72d017b5cfebeca/tumblr_inline_mlrhibyPIP1r4aja5.jpg"/></p> <p>This is just a really quick little reproduction I did just now and photographed with my phone, so sorry about the lighting.
