You’re welcome! For some reason I’m really interested in modern takes on figures from mythology and folklore. Hi! Thanks! For that I used acrylic ink on watercolour paper. I sketch a basic outline and then lay on wash after wash of black ink, blocking in shapes and shadows first and getting progressively darker and more detailed as I go. I wait for one wash to dry before layering on another; anyway acrylic ink dries so fast you hardly have to wait at all.
This is just a really quick little reproduction I did just now and photographed with my phone, so sorry about the lighting. Once I decide I shouldn’t touch it any more I scan it in, clean it up, and do a bit of editing on photoshop. No background because I suck at backgrounds
